This Shipping & Live Animal Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through www.global-pet-lovers.com, operated by Global Pet Lovers Co., Ltd., trading as Happy Fish Chanthaburi (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, reduce, or restrict any consumer rights protected under Thai law.

We provide delivery to locations throughout Thailand where delivery services are reasonably available.

Delivery availability may depend on:

  • The type of product;
  • Province and destination;
  • Courier availability;
  • Expected transit time;
  • Weather conditions;
  • Public holidays;
  • Restrictions applicable to transporting live animals; and
  • Other circumstances that may affect the safety of the products or live animals.

For live fish or other aquatic animals, we may select or change the delivery method where reasonably necessary for the welfare and safe transportation of the animals.

We may use the following delivery providers:

  • Thailand Post
  • KEX
  • Flash Express
  • Other delivery providers that we consider suitable for the product and destination

The courier actually used may depend on the type of product, delivery address, service availability and, in the case of live animals, the suitability of the available service for transporting the animals to the destination.

The final selection of the delivery provider may be made by the Company where reasonably necessary to provide safe and appropriate delivery.

Shipping charges will normally be calculated or displayed during checkout before the customer confirms the order, unless otherwise stated.

Shipping charges may vary according to:

  • Parcel weight and dimensions;
  • Number of products;
  • Delivery location;
  • Type of product;
  • Delivery method;
  • Live animal transportation;
  • Special packaging requirements; and
  • Additional delivery services selected by the customer.

Any free-shipping or discounted-shipping promotion will be subject to the conditions of that promotion.

We will begin processing an order after the order and successful payment have been confirmed, unless otherwise agreed.

Standard merchandise may be available for dispatch sooner than products requiring special preparation.

Orders containing live fish or other aquatic animals may require additional preparation time so that we can check the condition of the animals, prepare appropriate packaging and select a suitable dispatch date.

Confirmation of an order does not necessarily mean that live fish or other animals will be dispatched on the same day.

Delivery times displayed on the website or communicated to customers are estimates unless we expressly state that a particular delivery timeframe is guaranteed. ระยะเวลาโดยประมาณ เว้นแต่บริษัทจะระบุอย่างชัดเจนว่าเป็นบริการที่รับประกันระยะเวลา

Actual delivery times may be affected by:

  • Province and destination;
  • Dispatch date and time;
  • Public holidays;
  • Weather conditions;
  • Courier workload;
  • Transportation delays;
  • Force-majeure events; and
  • Restrictions affecting the destination.

We cannot guarantee the exact time at which a courier will deliver a parcel unless such a guarantee has expressly been offered.

We ship ornamental fish and other live aquatic animals throughout Thailand to destinations where they can reasonably be transported safely.

Because live animals require special care, we may determine the dispatch date or postpone a shipment if we reasonably believe that dispatching the animals at that time would create an increased risk to their welfare.

Before dispatching live animals, we may consider factors including:

  • Expected transit time;
  • Destination;
  • Weather and temperature;
  • Public holidays and extended holiday periods;
  • Courier availability; and
  • The condition of the fish on the planned dispatch date.

The welfare of live animals is an important consideration when determining the appropriate dispatch date and delivery method.

If we believe a shipment should be postponed for the safety of the fish, we may contact the customer and arrange a new dispatch date.

Live fish will be packed using methods that we consider appropriate for the species, size and number of fish, journey length and expected transportation conditions.

Packaging may include suitable aquatic transport bags, water, appropriate air or oxygen, protective materials, boxes and temperature-management materials where necessary.

Packaging methods may vary according to the species and expected transportation conditions.

To reduce the risk of fish remaining in the courier network unnecessarily, we may restrict the days on which live animals are dispatched, particularly immediately before public holidays, extended holiday periods or other periods during which courier delays are reasonably expected.

We may decline to dispatch live animals on a particular day where we consider there to be an increased risk of the parcel being held in transit.

Customers will be provided with shipping or tracking information when available.

Customers ordering live fish or aquatic animals should arrange for someone to be available to receive the parcel at the delivery address on the expected delivery date.

After delivery, the parcel should be moved promptly away from direct sunlight or excessive heat, and the animals should be inspected without unnecessary delay.

Parcels containing live animals should not be left in direct sunlight, inside a vehicle or in another location with unsuitable temperatures.

Customers should inspect live fish and aquatic animals as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the parcel.

If a fish or other live animal has died during transportation or there is an obvious transportation-related problem, please contact us promptly and provide:

  • Order number
  • Customer name;
  • Photographs of the parcel and packaging;
  • Photographs or video of the affected fish or animal; and
  • A photograph of the shipping label if reasonably requested for our investigation with the courier.

This information allows us to investigate what occurred and apply our Live Animal Guarantee where applicable.

Requesting supporting evidence does not exclude or restrict consumer rights under Thai law.

If a live fish or aquatic animal is dead on arrival (“DOA”), the matter will be reviewed in accordance with our Live Animal Guarantee Policy. นโยบายการรับประกันสัตว์มีชีวิต ของบริษัท

Customers should contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the parcel and should not dispose of the affected animal, transport bag, box or relevant packaging before documenting the condition.

We may request clear photographs or video showing the condition of the animal and packaging so that we can verify the circumstances and determine an appropriate resolution.

Where a claim is confirmed, we may provide a replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable policy and the customer's rights under Thai law.

After receiving live fish, customers should properly acclimate them to the aquarium's water conditions and temperature before release.

Water quality, temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, oxygen levels, salinity and other environmental factors can affect fish health.

Customers are responsible for providing an aquarium and environment appropriate for the species ordered.

Any acclimation instructions provided by us should be followed appropriately.

If a live-animal parcel is delayed in transit, customers should monitor the tracking information and contact us if there appears to be a problem.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist and liaise with the delivery provider where appropriate.

As the operations of Thailand Post, KEX, Flash Express and other independent delivery providers are outside our direct control, we cannot guarantee that all courier delays can be prevented.

However, this section does not exclude any right or remedy available to the customer where the Company remains responsible under applicable law or an applicable guarantee.

If a non-living product arrives damaged, please contact us promptly after receiving the parcel.

Please retain:

  • The product;
  • Shipping box;
  • Packaging materials; and
  • Shipping label

and take photographs showing the damage to assist with our investigation.

Where a product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from the product ordered, we will address the matter in accordance with our policies and applicable Thai consumer law.

Where a courier provides a tracking number, we may send it to the customer by email, through the website or through another communication channel.

Tracking information is provided by the relevant delivery provider and may take some time to update after the parcel enters the courier network.

Customers are responsible for checking the accuracy of the following information before confirming an order:

  • Recipient's name;
  • Address
  • Subdistrict;
  • District;
  • Province;
  • Postal code; and
  • Phone number

For live-animal deliveries, providing a telephone number at which the recipient can be reached is particularly important.

If delivery is delayed, fails or is returned because information supplied by the customer was materially incorrect or incomplete, we may charge reasonable re-delivery costs where permitted by law.

If a parcel is returned to us because delivery could not be completed, we will contact the customer to determine the appropriate next step.

For standard merchandise, re-delivery may be possible subject to reasonable additional shipping charges.

For live animals, re-delivery will depend on the condition of the animals and whether further transportation is appropriate and may not be possible immediately.

We may postpone or temporarily suspend shipments because of:

  • Severe weather;
  • Flooding;
  • Storms;
  • Unsuitable temperatures;
  • Natural disasters;
  • Transportation disruption;
  • Emergencies;
  • Government orders or restrictions; or
  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

For live animals, we may postpone dispatch even where the order is otherwise ready if we reasonably believe that transportation at that time would create an inappropriate risk to the animals.

Where an order contains both live animals and standard merchandise, we may divide the order into more than one parcel where we consider this more appropriate or safer.

Applicable shipping charges will be communicated as appropriate before or during the ordering process.

Cancellation, return and refund rights are governed by our Terms & Conditions, applicable return policies and Thai law, including applicable direct-sales and direct-marketing consumer-protection requirements.

Certain products, particularly live animals, perishable products or products of a special nature, may be subject to specific statutory conditions or exceptions.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to remove any cancellation, return, refund or other remedy to which a consumer is legally entitled under Thai law.

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to delivery providers, shipping methods, products offered or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website together with its most recent update date.
